Experiences

Discover the enchanting beauty and rich cultural heritage of Nuwara Eliya through our curated experiences. At London Eye Hotel, we invite you to explore the "City of Light" and its surroundings through both guided excursions and independent adventures.

Horton Plains National Park

Just 32 kilometers from our hotel, this stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site offers breathtaking landscapes and biodiversity. The park’s most famous attraction is “World’s End,” a sheer cliff with a drop of about 880 meters, offering spectacular views across the southern plains of Sri Lanka. Our concierge can arrange transportation, packed breakfasts, and expert guides who will enhance your understanding of the unique ecosystem. Start early (we recommend 5:30 AM departures) to avoid the mist that often obscures the view by mid-morning.

Tea-Inspired Gastronomy

Nuwara Eliya is synonymous with Ceylon tea, and no visit is complete without exploring the lush tea estates that surround our property. We have special arrangements with Pedro Tea Estate (15 minutes from the hotel) and Mackwoods Tea Factory (25 minutes away) for guided tours where you can observe the entire tea-making process from plucking to packaging. Learn about the colonial history of tea cultivation while enjoying freshly brewed cups with spectacular views of emerald-green plantations.

Victoria Park

Located in the heart of Nuwara Eliya just 10 minutes from our hotel, this beautiful park was named after Queen Victoria and established in 1897. The park is home to numerous exotic flower species and rare birds including the Kashmir flycatcher. During spring (March to May), vibrant flower displays create a spectacular show of color. Our guests receive special walking maps highlighting the best flower spotting locations and bird watching areas.
